SUSTRANS
Sustrans is the UK’s leading sustainable transport charity, working on practical projects so people choose to travel in ways that benefit their health and the environment
The charity is behind the National Cycle Network, Bike It, Safe Routes to Schools, TravelSmart and many other groundbreaking projects. The award winning National Cycle Network is a comprehensive network of safe and attractive walking and cycling routes throughout the UK. The Network extends to more than 12,000 miles bringing these routes to within 1 mile of 50% of the population.
Sustrans' work relies on the generous donations and monthly standing orders of nearly 40,000 Supporters, and the support of charitable trusts, companies and the National Lottery. Sustrans also work closely with local authorities and many other partners and have been very helpful in supporting the Strawberry Line "Safe Paths for All" campaign.
